Septal Perforation Repair
Revision Nasal Surgery with Septal Perforation Repair
This 44 year old female patient complained of bilateral nasal obstruction, nasal whistling and chronic sinusitis. She had undergone a primary rhinoplasty 8 years before and a unsuccessful revision to correct her saddle nose deformity a year after that. On physical examination, the patient presented with a 3mm anterior septal perforation, a deviated septum, an inverted-v deformity, severe external valve collapse. Goals for surgery were to close the septal perforation, straighten the septum and the nose, reconstruction of the contour deformity, repair of her valve collapse and opening of the sinuses.
